Which reliefs are most helpful for migraines?

Seeing how we’d love for everyone to find a bit more relief, we thought it’d be nice to share a little bit of the research we’re doing in partnership with global migraine experts with you! Data from Migraine Buddy reveals some interesting little bits and pieces about helpfulness of relief actions.

To eliminate the effect of triptans aborting a migraine episode, we focused on migraines lasting between 4 and 8 hours.

A list of non-drug reliefs for migraines by helpfulness

One important caveat here is that the percentages associated with the more general relief methods such as ‘sleep’ and ‘drinking water’ are inevitably lower, due to being used much, much more often and in combination with multiple other relief actions and medications. The opposite holds true for the more specific and high-scoring methods.
